This and That *updated

I love when the weather is so perfect that I can have the windows open-no heater, no air conditioner-and let the fresh air and sunshine in. That sounds pretty cheesy but it's true! We've been enjoying some pretty descent weather lately :)
Sandy received a new calling (which I think suits him pretty darn well) as the 11 year old scout leader. As this call was being extended to him he was told the Stake wanted him but due to his schedule with work our Bishopric was kind enough to tell them no (fortunately, or not-I guess it all depends on how it's looked at, hahaha). After he accepted the calling I got excited and said, "So I guess I get to see you in Primary now!" That part didn't register with him until I said that so he's been a bit unsure, for lack of a better word, but I know he's going to end up loving this calling as much as his Young Men's calling.
I've been busy getting our little man's birthday party planned-this last year went SO FAST, too fast, really. I'm also in planning/organizing mode for our upcoming vacation--2 weeks left of school, spring break, then a week in Hawaii. The stress will soon be a memory and the time will be here and gone before I know it.
Finally, after over a year of trying to come up with something (and disagreeing on everything we come up with) Sandy and I named our farm! We'd go from his traditional, simple suggestions like, "SL Farms", "The Lazy L Acres"  and his most admirable attempts, "LilyAcres" and "Tinker Lane" to my more complicated (perhaps weird) and fancier tries, "The Stopping Place",  "Destination Farms", and "La Vida Dulce". We finally hashed it out Saturday, listing the things important to us, ended up singing the Air Force theme song with the kids, and I threw out "Wild Blue Yonder". He amended it to "Wild Blue Acres", and that, ladies and gentlemen, is the new name of our land! It says quite a bit for us-military, freedom, open blue skies, and we have some wild kids to take advantage of the acreage :) Perfect!

*after posting this I remembered something I wanted to add, but as usual, forgot. This, to me, is worth remembering so here it is:

The girls both tried helping come up with names. Eli's input was "Sloppy Joes" while Livi's suggestions were a bit more, well, Livi, with two attempts, "Shabby Toots" and "Snookie Dukes". Nice try girls, nice try!

Ooh, now we need to enjoy some Hawaiian weather!! We were teased with almost 70' temp the other day, it put a big smile on everyone's face. I like the farm name, and tell the girl's their choices sounded more than excellent ;)
