It has been 3 years since Livi joined our family!! Wow! I'm always amazed at how fast time flies. I try to make birthdays extra special; it's how we were raised and it always made ya feel special and important. So it continues for my kids. I hope I came through for her.Livi has been super excited for quite some time now, really looking forward to turning 3. She got her way most of the day (within reason) right down to giving me a makeover. She requested a "Pinkalicious" birthday, so pink is what she got, all over the place. Pink, princesses, dolls, makeup, mani's and pedi's...for as rough and tough as she comes off as, she is girl through and through.
She's still practicing holding up 3 fingers and is improving, but, when Sandy asked her how old she was tonight, she looked at her fingers, started to try for 3, gave up and shouted, "I'm FIVE!" while holding up her 5 fingers! Forget this 3 business, five is much easier! Lil stinker!
I attempted an Angel Food Cake from scratch for her cake since she LOVES strawberries and whippped cream. It didn't turn out quite as fluffy as I'd imagined but oh, goodness, it was GOOD! And the whipped cream was homemade, as well (the best!! YUMM!).
We spoiled her with presents, giving her one here and there throughout the day rather than all at once. She especially loved getting a Rapunzel doll and a Pinkalicious doll; her reaction was priceless!
It may be cliche, but it really just feels like yesterday we were in Texas with our baby Livi. I hope she felt as special and loved as we know she is.
3 years old...going on 13.
But always my baby.

Something about giving little girls free range with makeup always turns in to something reminiscent of war paint and clown makeup!

Beautiful Birthday Girl!
*Livi wants to thank everyone for the fun birthday calls and messages. She may keep things short and sweet, but she sure loves hearing from you! She's excited to see some of you at her party Saturday!
