Swimming

The girls finished their first ever swimming session. They loved heading to the pool every morning-me, not so much. Shad caught hand, foot and mouth disease (the girls had it during this time last year) and was miserable :(--so the hour at the pool was a bit rough and I didn't get to watch a whole lot. I did learn that Eli is not very comfortable in the water anymore but Livi, as expected, was fearless. Eliana was really good at the kickboard, and it was her favorite, too. Livi liked everything but especially enjoyed flutter kicking and the kickboard, like her big sister.
One day the class was having races with the kickboards and it was between Eli and another girl named Claire. Livi and another kid, a little boy, was sitting on the steps cheering; Livi was yelling, "Go, Eli, Go Eli!" while he chanted, "Go Claire, Go Claire!" At one point Livi stopped, looked at him and I was afraid she was going to attack him; you could see how furious she was! She got right in his face, balled up her fists and, through gritted teeth and a bright red face, growled/screamed, "GO ELI! GO ELI!!" She loves her big sis!
I managed a couple of pics with my phone one day, they aren't the best but I got what I could while wrestling a sick, grumpy 1 year old.
